Blue Ridge Garden Club of Boone, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity
Our mission is to encourage, promote and educate our members and the public about gardening, horticulture, and environmental awareness through community programming and the conservation of natural resources.
Cultivating Community for Over 70 Years
The Blue Ridge Garden Club has been creating and maintaining our civic gardens for 75 years. Our members volunteer at the various gardens throughout the year and support the club's efforts through a yearly membership fee.

Gardening is in full swing as we all dig in the dirt, pull nasty weeds and plant, plant, plant.

Preserving Appalachian insect Biodiversity through Native Plants and Farmscaping.
June meeting will be presented by Dr. McBug (Richard McDonald, Phd) the former Biological Control Administrator and State Apiarist for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. He has been working with beneficial insects since 1981. This will be a very informative meeting so come with samples or questions. The public is invited. We will meet at Valle Crucis Community Park at 11:00 on June 18, 2025. This will be a walking tour so come with comfortable shoes, jacket, hat, etc.

Our membership is always growing and we have room in all our gardens for more friends. The BRGC strives to celebrate the native landscape of our High Country ecosystem and create a space where gardeners of all levels and interests are invited to further make our town a more beautiful place.
