The Blue Ridge Garden Club was founded in 1914 by Mrs. F. Appleton Wilson and a group of summer residents who were interested in gardening, not just their gardens, but in the beautification of the surrounding community.  A civic minded group, they did much to make the mountain area more pleasant for everyone.

Today the club has grown, welcoming those women of the area who have a true love of gardening, and are interested in learning or sharing what they know about gardening.  Meetings are held in homes and other appropriate places.  The meetings are informative with knowledgeable speakers, arrangement workshops and horticulture exchange of information.  They are held once a month, April through October.

We also have a desire to help keep Blue Ridge Summit beautiful, and want to pass the word about conserving our environment.
